For a while now, I’ve been throwing around this idea. I’ve briefly discussed it with our Staff, and spend some time thinking it over myself. When Legacy™ started, it was solely-based writing Matches, with rare custom superstar appearances, partly because we hardly had any when this whole thing got started. As the months progressed, we actually began to gain a really cool fan base, and the created superstar involvement in episodes increased. Now, I still like to have that balance between created and regular, so I’m not going to change that. However, I do feel that it’s time to give the fans a chance to be more interactive overall. We need a bigger fan base; I know that, as does everyone else. But it’s not as easy as it sounds to get people to go check out your Site, thus they don’t join. Now, ICW’s gone, so our biggest competition is no longer that. However, there’s another one, ‘Classic Wrestling Federation’, that has wonderful presentation but terrible writing skill, is ahead of us. The plan for this fan interaction thing we’re contemplating is the beginning of my plan to get some, well, newer members.

- Basically, what we’re considering allowing you to do is write your own superstar promos. For example, during an episode of Smackdown, Tom Matrix makes his Debut, cutting a promo before the Match. Now, our Site Member Tom Matrix could actually send me a PM and say, “Hey, is there a promo for my guy any time on the next show?” or “Hey, could I write a superstar promo on the next show?”. After that, I’ll take the idea into consideration, meaning see if there’s space, and you’ll get your shot. Now, if it comes out good, then It’ll go right on there as is, but if it’s really bad, I’ll make a few changes where it’s needed to avoid you know, criticism.
- There are no RANKING POINTS given away for writing one promo, but after you’ve written five, you’ll be allowed to earn +1. I’ll keep track of the promos over time, and adjust the points accordingly.
- If you are interested in doing so, simply send me a PM and let me know. If you’re good enough, you could get offered a Staff Position as a Promo Writer, although that would probably take a while regardless of your ‘good’-ness.
Any questions? Send me a PM or post them here in this thread. I’ll be happy to help as best I can.
